The last item on the Link List is especially interesting. Last night, saw a new episode of Smithsonian Channel’s Air Disaster series. The near-crash incident involved an Airbus 320 with faulty software that turned altitude info into Angle of Attack info and precipitated unnecessary and very dangerous dives without warning. The Boeing status reported by Reuters sounds identical. The Airbus problem, which also reoccurred on different 320s, has not been solved to date but only mitigated. This Boeing-Airbus Link seems like a fruitful new line of investigation. Two manufacturers, one unit of software?
