The New War on Women, Part I You don’t see it? Sure about that? Let me set the scene for you with the specific trigger that inspired this post. If you’re watching some dark Danish soap opera miniseries on a streaming service, one of the things you have to overlook is the repetition ad nauseam of two or more commercials that seem to reappear every 20 minutes or so. Here’s a pair of them my wife and I suffered through a week or two ago, eventually in the second case becoming expert at hitting the mute button within nanoseconds. The video I had here has been withdrawn from YouTube.  The  replacement  features the same unsettling combo of autoerotic/homoerotic imagery. It’s a cologne commercial. For men. Yes, definitely for men. For the ones who know which is the more beautiful sex when you’re comparing men and women. It’s got kind of a ‘come hither’ feeling about it, like come on over to our side and start living for a change. But maybe there’s also a message in there for women, a twofold

What everybody forgot in all this. The media, the money, and the Machiavellian powers of incredibly huge and ruthless government are still owned by men. Old white men at that. All the niche victim populations forgot that. They are being systematically played against one another to enable the government to keep all of them divided and conquered in perpetuity. At any given time it looks like some of the victim niches are thriving while others are getting their just desserts, but in reality every niche that does not recognize itself as part of the one much larger entity that can throw the Old White Men out of power is being played for a sucker.  Women have forgotten all this in a big way for a long long time. They had a run for sure. They started agitating for the vote just about the time the United States officially became the richest nation in the world. They got that right and others, but they never saw that as they thought they were getting ahead they were in fact being exploited for

Brittney Griner, Superstar Our WNBA superstar is back home now. People may be wondering why we traded a Russian gangster for her, but the athletic record speaks for itself. A national treasure by all lights. National treasure. Hmmm. I looked through her per-game stats (even looked up some of the abbreviations in the interests of thoroughness) and got a thumbnail portrait of a particular kind of player you also see in the NBA. Very tall, lots of field goals, hardly any 3-pointers, decent but not great record on foul shooting, not much for assists, adequate on steals and rebounding, I guess, and reliable on minutes per game and games played. The overall picture? I’m not seeing much that says movement on the court.
