Who have been exemplified since ancient times by the Harpies and related icons of mythology. What is a harpy?  Sirens were closely related to harpies, adding the element of  potent, even magical, vocal capabilities designed to destroy men.   Let me tell you a little story here. The phoenix is an immortal bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again. While it's part of Greek mythology, it has analogs in many cultures such as Egyptian and Persian. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor. A myth can sometimes become reality. Let me tell you a true story to go with the myth. Not written out, just force-faded out. Arrest might be my only opportunity. Wrote this a couple days ago. It has attracted no likes, emojis, or comments. My posts, especially longer ones and those that include my homemade videos rarely make it to the News feed, and FB friends are generally reticent to come directly to my page because of my pattern of resistance to Facebook wrist slaps and my refusal not to say politically incorrect, non-Woke things in my words and graphics. Back in the spring, a longtime FB friend informed me he had just taken a new job in which employee social network activity is monitored. He asked me, apologetically, not to communicate with him directly anymore. His mother is still a sometime visitor though.  THEY REALLY DID WANT HER TO SUCCEED I am of two minds about this post. On the one hand I have a lot of comedy material about Kamala Harris, not of the kind variety, and given the recent return to relevance of her political fate, I figured this would be a good time to assemble pics and links illustrating her pratfalls and progressive sidelining from a news media that really wanted her to do well.  Melania Trump, the most beautiful ever First Lady  for four years, never got a magazine cover. But I also feel kind of bad for Harris the VP. The mass media which could have helped her more than they did share at least some of the blame for her miserable performance in the polls.
