Staggering Toward World War 3

Hard to believe that in December 2020, the world’s military hot spots were mostly in a state of calm, if not outright peace. Russia had not moved against Ukraine since the Obama administration. North Koreas was not launching its wannabe nuclear missile platforms. The Middle East was quiet because a peace deal had been brokered/enforced between Israel and the hotter tempered players in the region. Even Iran was on the ropes awaiting America’s terms for extending a nuclear nonproliferation deal. China was still acting up in Hong Kong, but they were in fact paying the tariffs levied upon them by the U.S. for their unfair trade practices. Taiwan was not looking up in the sky for Chinese warplanes but doing just fine supplying the chips most everybody used in their computer systems. The European Union was grumpily reversing a full half century as a NATO deadbeat and beginning to pay their dues for continued reliance on American military support. No, they didn’t like it, but they had responded to the first stern words Uncle as am had said to them in a half dozen presidential administrations. The flow of illegal immigrants into the U.S. across the southern border had been reduced to a manageable trickle, and both Mexico and Canada were conforming to the economic requirements of the agreement which had replaced the disastrous NAFTA treaty. And in the year 2020, no American troops had died in combat anywhere.

A year and a half later, where are we? Staggering cluelessly toward World War 3, which could begin in any number of ways, in any number of places. A handful of ominous headlines just from today:

Report: Joe Biden Sold Nearly One Million Barrels from U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to CCP-Owned Oil Company Linked to Hunter Biden Firm

British Navy says it seized smuggled Iranian missiles

Illegal aliens plotted July 4 mass shooting

Abbott invokes U.S. Constitution invasion provision; stops short of ordering deportations by state

ACLU, National Education Association claim children are ‘never’ too young to undergo sex change

Facing pressure, Biden to sign order on abortion access

Biden uses Abe Shinzo assassination to again condemn gun violence

That’s enough samples for now. These were just from today. Some may be wondering why the last three items. Because the truth is, the only issues on which Biden is prepared to be stern, adamantine, verbally aggressive are abortion rights, the legalized sexualization of very young children, and gun control. (The Trump hatred goes without saying…) In every other arena he is weak, appeasing, acquiescent, and even groveling to America’s rivals and outright enemies. He cannot address the weakness he engineered in the American economy, because he knows nothing whatever about economics, and he has lost every ounce of respect from other nations Trump enjoyed because Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal was an incredibly humiliating U.S. disaster (14 troops massacred, hundreds of American citizens stranded, still) that instantly made a worldwide joke of American military power. Why bad actors like Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, the PLA, the Mexican government, and God only knows how many Jihadist terror organizations are now doing whatever they want, while Biden stutters and shuffles, and stares.

This whole state of affairs is an invitation to war, which given the number of regions involved and the extent of international economic woes either caused or aggravated by Biden, could swiftly become global in scope as floundering governments hype the enemies without in order to distract attention from the incompetence within.

And, unfortunately, we have the market cornered on incompetence. The Democrat majority in Congress pays no attention to the world catching fire around us because they are so fanatically determined to destroy the man who gave us four years of increasing peace and prosperity. As for the President, his ‘competency’ speaks for itself.

Hold onto your hats. Nothing whatever I’ve cited above will get better before it gets substantially, even catastrophically, worse
