A Butti-Boomlet. Mika-Joe Is in Love. Studebaker Isn’t.

Image
Boomlets are to be expected. This one’s just funny. MSNBC, the arbiter of lefty taste and morality, is trying to break the news gently that it’s going to be another white male. If you’re keeping up, they’re defending Joe’s creepiness and ignoring Liz and Kamala and Bernie too. They’ve decided for us that Butti, a.k.a. “Mayor Pete,” is as charismatic and sexy as JFK. I know. Thing is, the gay part isn’t that sexy to most of us, whatever the Dem anchors want to be true, and hardly reassuring about rebuilding the American family (even if Time has been looking hard under the cushions for its Hearst Almanac), and — ahem — there’s a lot more to being a world-changing leader than being the mayor of a pretty economically and culturally stagnant city. Didn’t know that? Well, here’s a remarkably restrained and even gentlemanly takedown of Buttichieks from someone who has at least some skin in the game. Meaning more than being a husband and one more Harvard delusion about being born to be Pre...

Buttigieg Accused of Stealing Cheap Political Trick from Fellow Harvard Grad

Image
Everyone has seen the photo up top of the tender kiss exchanged between Pete Buttigieg and his husband, Chasten(?) Something, during his presidential candidacy announcement. They may not have heard some of the dark muttering from the Trump camp that this was actually a cheap campaign trick swiped from the 2000 Dem candidate Al Gore. He and his husband wife Tipper put on a remarkably similar display at the Democratic Convention that year. The mainstream press luv-luv-luvved it. Pretty much like they sorta luv-luvved Buttigigg’s smackeroo with Chasten(?) Something. If this was a stunt, as the photographic evidence would seem to prove, what advantage is Buttigieg expecting to gain from his over-the-top Gore-esque showboating? Not hard to figure. Same old same old. The Democrats are already making hay out of the attention Buttigieg is attracting from bigoted white conservatives who have always hated gays almost as much as they hate Harvard (for mostly the same reasons)....

The Biden Benefit

Image
Don’t worry. This won’t turn into charts & graphs. I also won’t be giving you a lot of highlights of rants, stumbles, and lost weekends in Delaware. In fact, my purpose here is to suggest a different perspective altogether. It came to me when I was notified of a thread at Instagram claiming Trump had confessed to fixing the 2024 election. It was early in the morning and I gave way to curiosity. Why, I asked him, was it so important to keep trying to dig up dirt on Trump after 10 years of frantic Democrat efforts of the sort had failed to stop his return to the White House. The reply was quick and consisted of the usual stream of adjectives, vulgar, rapist, convicted, Daddy’s money, guilty of every deadly sin in the book. How exactly, I wondered, was Trump so much worse than the corrupt, senile pedophile who had made every aspect of American life measurably worse? A speedy reply in 30 seconds flat: “We’re talking about this guy now.” Why there’s this post. Biden had ceased to...

The Obligatory Non-Sequitur Candidate

The mayor of South Bend is running for President. Of the United States. That’s an SNL skit, right? From back in the days when the show was funny. Oh well. Somebody out there thinks he can explain it. The Treason Layer of Elite Rulers of the United State

Image
The CHYOS Club  (Pronounced kÄ«os, abbreviated ‘kos, meaning MR ) American Illuminati? We’ve all heard the legends of secret societies. The Renaissance story of the ‘Illuminati’ who rule the world as gray eminences behind the scenes is a legend unsupported by facts or, at any rate, evidence. We also know of outright hoaxes widely believed in, like the Priory of Sion made famous by admittedly fictitious Dan Brown novels and movies. But we also know that there are secret societies at every level of elite life. Who hasn’t heard dark whispers of Yale’s Skull & Bones, numbering the Bushes and John Kerry as members? At the international level, the Freemasons are a proven fact, even if their Illuminati-like influence is only widely believed in the UK, with its historical paranoia about Scotland, where freemasonry re-emerges as a follow-on to the Knights Templar. Great fun, mostly. Who doesn’t thrill to news about Bill schmoozing in the dark at the Bilderberger Group? Conspiracy? All t...

Amusing IPR Searches for Idle Hands

Image
Something to file away for a day when you’re tired of the morning’s headlines and need a chuckle or a head-scratcher to stay awake. These are all one-word searches (hyphens don’t count) to look at with the site’s Keyword Search function. Adding words may seem to be advantageous but it almost never is. Each word on the following list will show you multiple choices to pick from. quick hitters, longer pieces, funny stuff, thoughtful stuff. Covers a lot of territory over four years and sometimes much more than that, depending on the internal links. It won’t always be obvious why a post contains the search term, but there’s always a reason. The posts, listed can continue past the screen that’s showing; when you’re prompted with a linkmto More Posts, take it. Be arbitrary. Have fun. There’s no correct order in this list, and no correct order in what any search generates. Like a seaside amusement park. Ride the rides that look like a good or slightly scary entertainment… 1. Saving the Democrats a lot of time

Image
Conflicted identity and media image woes By now we know if you’re a Democrat, getting elected isn’t about who you are, what you’ve done or haven’t done. It’s about how people see you. The factors that can do in a candidate are often more subtle than the pundits of the professional wrestling circuit called the mainstream media. Why we think it’s time to help the world’s most uninformed voters about who to elect as their next nominee for President. We’re not going to get all racist and sexist about it. The decision points we’ve discovered are all based on the individuals involved, not the immaterial fluff like experience or political philosophies. We’ll start right at the top and give you one simple thing to bear in mind before you try to pick a winner for 2028. Kamala Harris Not about the word salads or the escort thing. Too Desperate. Gavin Newsom Too Lyle Waggoner. Times change. Bernie Sanders Too ‘Little Big Man’ AOC Too prematurely passĂ©  Gretchen Whitmer Too Lily-White J...
