The PhoeniX Rises

Let me tell you a little story here. The phoenix is an immortal bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again. While it's part of Greek mythology, it has analogs in many cultures such as Egyptian and Persian. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor.

A myth can sometimes become reality. Let me tell you a true story to go with the myth. I posted this at Facebook this morning less than an hour ago, along with a two minute video:

FTA: <<Massive Win for Criminals: Illinois Sets Risky Precedent by Becoming First State to Abolish Cash Bail

Illinois has become the first state in the U.S. to entirely abolish cash bail starting today, September 18, 2023, a massive win for criminals.

The Gateway Pundit reported in July that the Illinois Supreme Court upheld the Pretrial Fairness Act provision of the Safety, Accountability, Equity, Transparency-today Act, meaning that cash bail will be eliminated in Illinois in 60 days.

The elimination of cash bail in Illinois was set to go into effect on Sunday, January 1, 2023, but the state’s highest court halted the reform.

Democrats in Illinois passed a new law to eliminate the cash bail system. The new law aimed at reforming the state’s criminal justice system.

This will result in the release on no bail while awaiting court date of those accused of certain felonies, such as “second-degree murder, aggravated battery, and arson without bail, as well as drug-induced homicide, kidnapping, burglary, robbery, intimidation, aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding, drug offenses and threatening a public official.”

Democrat Gov. JB Pritzker signed HB 3653 THE SAFE-T (Safety, Accountability, Fairness, and Equity- Today) ACT into law in February, saying “Transforming the pretrial detention system so low-income people aren’t thrown behind bars while only the wealthy walk free, diverting low-level drug crimes into substance-treatment programs and reducing excessive stays in prison.”>>

People can wonder about what will happen, but fortunately there’s no need to. A British firm, the Metastasis Corporation has employed AI software to simulate the physical evolution of the City of Chicago during this dramatic judiciary transition. The research included mathematical modeling of such key factors as population migration to the suburbs, rates of police personnel retention, and facilities management challenges associated with predictable changes in the ratio of freelance street entrepreneurs to white, blue, and pink collar workers and the businesses that employ them. The overall effect will be a striking revitalization and reconfiguration of suburban life around Chicago (subject of a parallel simulation to be released by Metastasis Corp), as well as some significant alterations in the national profile, the symbolic “skyline” if you will, of  the center city proper. As everyone knows, there are always tradeoffs. What’s important to remember is that the principles of DEI are not negotiable in this era of Social Justice awakening.

The Metastasis Report is presented below as a visual narrative conveying the substance of the data in a form easily digestible by a population that no longer has much knowledge of or patience with mathematical statistical probability algorithms used to create a computer model with a 97.8 percent confidence level. Watch and wonder at the world Artificial Intelligence is building for us…

Five minutes after the post went up, it was summarily removed from Facebook for what was cited as “cybersecurity violations” of Community Standards. Here’s a brief sequence of graphics I was shown and theoretically invited to interact with:

Actually, this first appeared to me as a pop-up on my page…

When I clicked to see the rule, I got the following…

I did get to a next screen that promised a chance for review of the ruling…

Which, when I clicked it, sent me to the following…

After which, I was dumped to this screen…

That’s called due process in the TekLord State. I explored my options. The parent application of this blog has an antique size restrictions on videos, so I can’t post it here. I tried stripping it down by stages, removing music to reduce file size. Nothing worked. Too big for Blogger. Can’t post it at HouTube, which can accommodate the size but would be even nastier than Facebook about the content. Free speech in America. Right.

I puzzled, then thought of an unlikely workaround. “X”! So I tried posting the video there. It worked, although either they removed by largest music element, or I sent them the wrong one. At any right it was there and I watched it before writing this. See if it it’s still there. Clicky on this graphic.

And, for the sake of thoroughness, here’s the music I drew the deleted part of my soundtrack from:

Almost a standalone comment in its own right. But not quite.

Now do you understand my spelling of “PhoeniX”?
