 THEY REALLY DID WANT HER TO SUCCEED

I am of two minds about this post. On the one hand I have a lot of comedy material about Kamala Harris, not of the kind variety, and given the recent return to relevance of her political fate, I figured this would be a good time to assemble pics and links illustrating her pratfalls and progressive sidelining from a news media that really wanted her to do well.

But I also feel kind of bad for Harris the VP. The mass media which could have helped her more than they did share at least some of the blame for her miserable performance in the polls. From the first, it was the White House which clearly had a hidden agenda about how best to (mis)use the black woman they had compromised even before her nomination by closing the VP candidate to all but one race and one sex. She was never meant to share in the glow of Biden’s inaugural promise to be the Trump antidote, the unifier who would heal the divisions, even if those divisions had been created in the first place by the lowest gutter politics employed by any party against one man since the Dems tried to assassinate Abraham Lincoln in the press before they defaulted to a bullet. Yeah. Biden the Great Unifier. Remember this?

No, you don’t. Nobody does. In the dustbin of Prog history.

My satirical jibes might make it seem that Kamala just never had the right stuff. Which could be true without making her near universal unpopularity all her fault. Biden has never had the right stuff a single day of his life. But the media have covered for him, propped him up, and lied their asses off for him going on three years now, while Kammy has been left to flounder in one impossible situation after another. There’s going to be a big Postscript below to the satirical stuff that comes next. It’s there to make you laugh. Satire is unfair if often correctly targeted.

I’m not going to finish the way I intended. Hunting down the word salad clips and so forth. Not worth it. They’re just the proof that the Biden campaign team goofed. Maybe Biden thought of her as an insurance policy, but his most influential organizers really thought the “black female” VP commitment was a big winner and an investment in future girlpower. They were wrong. She was chosen, I’m convinced because of her one memorable (because visible) 15 Minutes of fame in Congress, the Bret Kavanaugh hearings, when she piled on with the same malice that made her staff the one with the highest turnover in the Senate. I’ll leave you with this, not her words but accurate as to her manner…

This made her a star with the woke crowd. Didn’t make her smart or a competent executive.

Is she another woodbrained Obama puppet?


Is she just a dancing doll showing off a set of approved secondary sex

Not at all. She’s a DC Comix Superhero, complete with cape and intimidating mask, running for the office of Conc-in-Chief!

Everybody rushed in after the fact to be first with the goods on how Trump pulled off the biggest electoral upset in modern presidential history. I was already ahead of them though. I had been covering the political briar patch with a steady diary approach for four presidential election cycles, both terms of W, the meteoric rise and weird re-election of Barack Obama, and of course the first flutterings of the Republican country club riot over replacing him. Don’t like Trump? Get over it.

Another has-been life ruined beyond repair. Trump Curse writ large. Rosie O’Donnell still can’t get over the fact that Trump won the Republican nomination in 2016 by blowing off Megyn Kelly’s gotcha question about his mean tweets to women, using her as the completely understandable punchline.   Millions of men, and even some women, said to themselves, “I would do that too.” She’s a sad case. But this latest outburst got me to thinking. Maybe I’ve been unfair to The Donald myself over the years. With my wife and others, I’ve taken the position that I admire Trump as a President and would-be savior of the Republic. I’ve also said I wouldn’t have him in my house for dinner. Or, less pompously, that I have never had any desire to meet him in person. I have fought strenuously for his political life and fortunes. No one can deny that.
