Why did it have to be snakes?

 

AI is independently objective? Not politically biased? 

Not a powerful hidden censor? Guess again.

This post isn’t about AI. But AI is now part of an increasingly ominous context in which the fate of western civilization is being played as both low comedy and high tragedy.

I use an AI app as a satirical tool. It enables you to make still photos of faces say things from a long list of snappy quotes and music clips. A lot of the quotes are themselves satirical, with voices altered from the original speaker or singer, to make them funny in some other mouth. But they don’t like it when you use their little app to make certain sacred cows look stupid or dishonest. AnyEvery time the name Trump appears in a headline over a photo featuring one of his thousands of enemies, the Revive app is certain to flag your work in process as NSFW, as in not safe for work in the politically correct Progressive media environment. You’re not allowed. If you try to appease by moderating headlines or choosing only slightly a mocking quotes, you will also be flagged for “the possibility of inappropriate content” and denied access. This in a media environment where F-Bombs are now routinely dropped in newspaper headlines, and celebs are lionized with faint chiding for threatening the President with death. 

Why are such heavy-handed censorship controls shown openly in the lowbrow world of one-liner mockery? Because those in the know are aware that people don’t read anymore (um, the ‘kids’ plain can’t read anymore), and visual jokes are more dangerous in the new lefty base of Trump haters than carefully researched and written analyses. 

For example, I was completely unable to find a way around The Revive app (and its junior cousin Mimic) to highlight the outrageousness of Oprah Winfred’s Town Hall featuring women who believe women should have the right to kill their own children before they reach the age when they can fight back. One woman in particular got headlines for bringing down the house with a demand that all women support the murders of black children by their black mothers. Here’s the tossed salad I had to assemble elsewhere because Revive decided anything I tried to post about the Oprah show would be NSFW:

It is not appropriate to ridicule infanticide as a Progressive value.

Now I’m going to talk about a related subject at only a slightly higher intellectual altitude. My lead graphic featured a rejected mockery reel I designed for Facebook some time ago highlighting Bill Maher’s confidence game of endorsing both sides of the same argument in order to quiet his critics whike leading his fans toward more effective obstructions of the despicable Trump. It’s not a new congas. It used to be called ‘talking out of both sides of your mouth.’ Maher has become a master of such trickery. Unlike many veteran politicians he can even do it in the same show, on the same subject, without even a momentary blush.

Yes, it’s time to rise to the dizzying IQ level of whoever it is that still watches the Bill Maher egofest called Real Time. Conservative media leaped on his most recent interview with a Democrat grieving about the collapse of his party into Communist policy positions. Maher enthusiastically agreed:

I don’t think they even took a commercial break, though, before Maher reversed ground 180 degrees and launched the same old rote attack on Trump as a dunce and derided his supporters as “a cult” and “just not too bright.”

This is as clever a strategem as it is cynical, dishonest, and self-serving. The con man here isn’t Trump. (mod on that later); it’s Maher himself projecting the way self-loathing lefties often do. He begins by stating the Dems have a lock on the midterms, even though his smarter guest was asking the harder and more important question about what the party could do with its power even if it won the midterms. If your entire political platform consists of opposing absolutely everything Trump says or does, it becomes a vacuum into which every kind of calamitous ideology can be accepted and exploited as long it shares Trump hatred as one of its components. That’s how the Communists, Islamists, anti-Christians, and anarchists got their nose under the tent in the first place. If they’re running the show when Democrats are restored to power, what disasters await the nation? 

Maher the real question completely. He beat up on the Communists for a while, then flattered the conservatives he’s conned into thinking of him as reasonable, then flipped them off by calling them idiots for supporting a President who has kept more promises than any inhabitant of the Oval Office than any other in living human memory. His little list of fake promises conveniently omits that they are all partmof thr same promise, to reduce the size of governments and reverse the growth curve of government in favor of income growth for American citizens. Reductions in the size of the government bureaucracy targeted by DOGE found plenty of waste but were obstructed and ultimately blocked by Deep State courts at every level. The promise Tariff dividend was upended by the absurd SCOTUS ruling Denying the President’s right to impose and administer tariffs as part of his responsibility for maintaining national security of the nation as a whole three all the tariffs and their very real income into a lockbox whike the legalities could be chewed over endlessly. The dividend offered to Americans for Republican majorities in the Senate and House was another attempt to pry federal monies out of prodigal federal hands into the bank accounts of the taxpayers who foot the bill for all the freeloaders in the overhead expense called government. 

Because it turn out that the real crime of adonald Trump is that he is a capitalist and a patriot who puts American citizens first, above all the parasites who simply fatten on the sclerotic bowels of bureaucratic sloth and congressional greed. Which is the Democrat agenda underneath all the phony lip service to causes and equity and the idiosyncratic demands of every Tom, Dick, and Harriet who can get a cash injection from George Soros to help bring down the United States.

The worse of these, obviously, are the Communists and Islamists, who are expressly funded by and working for foreign governments whose mission is still “Death to Ameica.”

With his jocular close of the show, Maher is demonstrating that he’s not worried who he has to sleep with or bend over for if it puts Democrats of any stripe back in power. 

What he may be overlooking is that even his own stupid people may not be stupid enough to accept such dangerous bedfellows in their obsession with removing Trump. 

It doesn’t take a genius, or even the ability to read, to sine flashlight into the dark pit of Democrat allies and recoil from the sight of them. Even some of the flat-out psycho women on board the Dark Age Train might start asking, along with Indiana Jones, “Why did it have to be snakes?”

We’ll see. If the snakes win out over the human beings, the Dark Age will indeed be upon us…
