Rasmussen Now in the Tank for the Biden Administration?

Really weird stuff going on at the Rasmussen polling site. Since inauguration he has had Biden at a dead-consistent 49 to 50 percent approval rating among “likely voters,” including 50 percent approval for the first full month of the Biden presidency.

And yet... the issues and confidence polling is all way underwater for Democrats. 55 percent oppose DC statehood, 54 percent oppose transgender participation in women’s sports, his “Immigration Index”whatever that is, is suddenly falling quickly, suggesting that voters want Biden control of illegals increased, consumer confidence in the economy has been falling steadily since December, and less than 40 percent of voters believe the country is on the right track. More than half of voters disapprove of AOC, and only 70+ percent think Biden is setting the administration agenda, with the media in second place (!) and Congress in third. But Joe is doing a good enough job... right.

Other Rasmussen Reports (RR) are just strange. More than 50 percent of Republican voters think GOP congressional leadership has lost touch with their constituents, while in the same breath RR reports that 46 percent of GOP voters say they actually approve of the performance of their party’s representatives. Huh? Simultaneously Rasmussen reports that New Jersey’s much-mocked governor is favored for reelection this fall — based on what he does not specify. And why report on it now as anything but wild speculation? Fact is, the Republican primary won’t even occur till June. Nobody knows what will happen on Election Day this fall, which is a long way away.

It looks very much as if Rasmussen hasn’t changed his polling target formula at all since November, so his “likely voters” are mystery meat leftovers. His D’s and R’s and I’s seem to be polled in exactly the same percentages as last year, a year in which Republicans picked up a significant number of seats in the House despite losing (?) the White House. No need to reconfigure time-honored call lists in UniParty HappyLand, right?

He’s pushing the subscription thing hard. Maybe he knows Trump voters aren’t watching the polling crap at the moment, and just wants those UniParty “Likelies” to sign on the dotted line.

To hell with him.
