The Grade for Biden-Era Conservative News Outlets? ‘F’.

In the weeks since the Hundred Days were up, I’ve been checking in on the few remaining news sources who are supposed to be telling us the truth. Mostly, we’re talking Breitbart, Newsmax, OAN, and Rasmussen Polling. Here at InstaPunk Returns, we’ve been tweaking the nose of Rasmussen in particular, whose daily polling of presidential approval consistently gives Biden a 50+ approval rating, without ever telling us who exactly is being polled, how, and on what rotating or other basis to ensure that they aren’t just ‘Old Reliables’ who answer the phone. Other polling subjects seem to indicate profound displeasure in the electorate on a wide range of issues and policies being pursued by the Biden administration. But the Rasmussen site does nothing to explain the discrepancies between these issue-oriented polling results and the seeming presidential approval flatline. So that flatline’s a joke and we’ve treated it as such. OAN is just boring. A lame website format and no substance other tha...

Upcoming Events to Avoid Like the Plague

Date to not watch: November 18, 2021. Ironic, eh? What the doughboys dreamt of? Football is racially and sexually political. Some of  us don’t care to be lectured on cultural issues by a  bunch of brats who majored in “Rocks for Jocks.”  Fortunately, we still have the freedom to not watch the NFL the same way we not watch CNN & ESPN.

Harvard degree, cum laude, and all that shite. So what happened? Hear that? It’s my wife, laughing. I decided to become a great writer. Best of all time. Did that. But then what…?

The Most Important Thing

Well, there’s also this… And this… Why? She makes sense of it all somehow. How? I don’t know why. Do you?

So Ron Paul wants to save us. It goes on for hours. What it boils down to is this. Buy Gold.

I thought I knew Tucker. St. George’s, Trinity College. Crazy white rich rich guy. Well, color me ##metoo. So. This is is the new normal.

Anybody else see a fundamental disconnect here?

Right. What the Old Rasmussen Reliables have been saying all along. But can anyone explain the following story to me? As reported by Axios, which is hardly a right wing mouthpiece. I’m listening.

Sad Truths, including Disappointment

Image
Me. Eyes downcast cause Selfie. I’m not dead.!!! I’ll show you the totally unretouched photo below. My wife asks, these days, why are you so depressed, so disappointed with life? She can’t resist a snipe: “Life hasn’t lived up to your expectations?”  “Au contraire,” I tell her. “Life has been glorious, beautiful, and meaningful from first to last. My disappointment is not with life. It’s with people. Who have been consistently, absolutely disappointing.

My wife CAN be wrong at times

Image
My wife has been all over me. Why do you want all these pictures of yourself? Are you that vain? No. I’m not. Reference the Orwell quote above. I’ve observed that lefties seem to melt as they age. These fellas are approximately my age. Yeah, seriously. Keillor, Moore, Letterman. M-E-L-T-I-N-G. All my life I’ve been told I look like a rock star. Not a fantasy but a fact of my life. So what face have the real rock stars earned? Grace Slick, Patti Smith, Stevie Tyler, Barbra Streisand. Why do I keep photo-ing myself? Because I am on the very precipice of 68 years old and I am still not dead or ugly. Well, he earned his face. Did I? Unretouched. Have I earned this face? Thinking I have. What have I earned? Ask my wife. She should know, when she’s not pissed off. Where I started from. What do you think?

How to maximize the utility of your fancy college degree...

So you bought yourself one of those elite quarter-million dollar liberal arts degrees sometime in the 21st century, right? And you’ve probably discovered you don’t know enough math to go to business school, not enough chemistry to go to medical school, and you don’t have enough money or credit to afford either. How do you get back on track from this sorry-ass state? Well, there is a way to reach out and make contact with what we might call the bigger picture, a clear-eyed vision of your place in the brave new world you’ve spent so much time day-dreaming about. It starts with an extremely WOKE art form called Borgami, which improves your focus through the intricate folding of pieces of paper. It’s easy to start. Try duplicating these beautiful folds on a plain sheet of paper. An Exemplar Looks easy enough, right? But if you need help, here’s a link to some overlong instructions and a few pics of process steps. The prototype reach out device for your own project. Now take your inc...

Pri-tttt-y Amazing

So I’ve got this new book . Probably should be in print, not just online. But it won’t be in print ever I’m thinking. Breitbart’s chief political reporter already has a book online about Biden’s Hundred Days, and what I have are two publishers who are thinking about reading my much much better book about the same. Meanwhile, the market moves on. It’s all okay. I have mixed emotions about the book anyway. Yes, I need the money an advance would bring. OTOH I made a big decision long long ago. Nobody gets to copy edit me because I’m a better editor, and a far better writer, than all of them. Find the new book here . It’s complete but for three chapters I don’t want to write. I could write all three in three days but why? For whom? Nobody actually deserves this book. I did, at huge personal financial cost, transcend the paper publishing industry 25 years ago when they hated the first attempt by any man to poke fun at feminists. Now, I write in altogether new ways that aren’t easily reducib...

100 Days of Free Falling

Image
January, February, March, April. Not a day’s worth of truthtelling anywhere. This is the last piece of writing in this book . Why I’m going to pretend it’s a preface, because it comprises the whole. And also obviates it. Don’t read this book. You don’t need it. It won’t help you. You won’t understand it or believe it or accept that it has anything to do with you. Because it doesn’t. It has only to do with me, its author, and I am, in a finally fatally insane nation, the last aware mind. I saw a movie last night that crystallized it all for me, meaning it gave me a way to communicate with many of you who are insensitive to other kinds of input. It was called “After.Life,” and it explored the world of the dead in an arresting way. A young woman with commitment issues storms away from her boyfriend in her car on a rainy night and while engaged in a road rage incident attempts to dial 911 to report the wreckers around her. She awakes on a slab in a funeral home and believes she is the vict...

A Quick Snapshot of Where We Stand After 100 Days of Biden

Image
With an operatic crescendo of show trial justice in Minnesota, the first hundred days of Biden came to a dramatic close yesterday with the President and Maxine Waters arm-twisting the Chauvin jury into an oxymoron triple Guilty verdict that has already led to renewed street protesting by the left wing faithful. Dershowitz called the DC interference, “not just a thumb but an elbow on the scales of justice.” Surely, more arson and looting and vandalism will be on hand in days to come.  We’ll be talking about this and other “accomplishments” of the new administration, but for now we’ll offer only the following thumbnail view of this moment of the timeline. A quick glance at the graphic above should suffice to illustrate an odd phenomenon of the Hundred Days. Biden continues to receive honeymoon treatment in the approval ratings while almost all his new policies are receiving quite negative treatment among “Likely Voters.” Again, this a subject for another day, but it does make me won...
